Does it really work without internet?

Yes. WTNcloud is built offline-first — you can open the app, fill in every field on a Waste Transfer Note, capture the signature and photos, and mark it complete with no signal at all. The PDF is generated and the customer email is sent the moment your device is back online.

Is it legally compliant with EA regulations?

Every WTN generated by WTNcloud includes the mandatory legal declaration, EWC code classification, transferor and transferee signatures, and the waste hierarchy duty-of-care statement required by the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

On cancellation you have 30 days to export every WTN record as a PDF archive or CSV. PDFs remain downloadable from our servers for a further 90 days. Data is stored in EU-region servers and we never sell it to third parties. UK GDPR compliant.

What is DEFRA's Digital Waste Tracking rollout and when does it affect carriers?

DEFRA's Digital Waste Tracking service is being rolled out in phases under the Environment Act 2021. Receiving sites become mandatory in October 2026. Carriers, brokers, and dealers follow in October 2027 (Scotland January 2027), with a voluntary public beta from Spring 2027. WTNcloud is built with the rollout in mind — when the mandatory date arrives you'll already be generating digital WTNs.

Can I import my existing customer list?

Yes. Paid plans support bulk customer import from CSV using our standard template (customer name — a company or an individual — address, postcode, email). Pay As You Go users can add customers manually — most carriers have under 20 regulars so this takes a few minutes.
