This is a code under chapter 20 03 — Other municipal wastes of the UK European Waste Catalogue, used on waste transfer notes to classify the type of waste being transferred.
20 03 07 is bulky household waste: sofas, mattresses, beds, wardrobes, carpet and the large items that will not go in a bin. It is what house clearance, council bulky collections and man-and-van operators move most of, and what a single job produces in one load rather than a round collects over many.
The code is absolute and non-hazardous, and the classification work is entirely about what gets excluded from it. A bulky item that contains a hazardous component is not bulky waste — it belongs to the entry that covers that component.

The common mistake with 20 03 07
Loading fridges, freezers and electricals in with the furniture. Cooling equipment containing chlorofluorocarbons is 20 01 23 and hazardous, and discarded electrical and electronic equipment has its own entries at 20 01 35 and 20 01 36 depending on what it contains.
